Nyukani Hosts World’s Youngest Professor
“A 9-year-old professor? No way!! How did he manage that? It’s like something from a movie!”
Those were some of the incredulous reactions from our learners when they first heard about Prof. Soborno Isaac Bari.
Our learners became even more excited to hear that not only has Soborno heard about our school, but he will interact with them.
Professor Soborno, the world’s youngest professor, is coming to South Africa to receive his honourary award from Da Vinci Institute. After that, he will have breakfast with the Nyukanites. Also present will be our Executive Director Vusi Sindane, the Principal Mr Jainos Ticharwa, the Acting Deputy Principal of the Primary School, Ma’am Mapula Ledwaba and the head boy and head girl.
After breakfast, there will be a Q&A session with him that will be streamed live on Facebook and on all our tablets at school. The live stream will be on 19 Oct 2021 from 9:30 to 11 am.

“Modern-day Einstein”, 9-year-old Professor Soborno Isaac Bari, born in Bangladeshi, and currently an American citizen, was merely 6 years old when he received recognition as a scientist by Harvard University. The brilliant young professor received the Global Child prodigy award in 2020. He was recently nominated for a Nobel prize as well!
Prof. Soborno has already given us a shout-out via a video posted on his YouTube channel where he’s encouraging us to be creative and to work hard and flourish in our studies. Check it out and save the date. Let’s chat with the Prof on Tuesday, 19 Oct 9:30 sharp!
