Nkateko Pearl Maswanganyi is the Fundraising Officer of the Nyukani Education Centre Alumni Association and a passionate young professional dedicated to leadership, community development, and innovation. With a strong interest in engineering, infrastructure development, and youth empowerment, she continues to contribute positively through service and professional growth.
She is a graduate of a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering Honours from University of Johannesburg, where she developed strong technical and analytical skills in infrastructure planning, engineering systems, and sustainable development. Throughout her academic and professional journey, Nkateko has demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence.
Nkateko began her professional journey at Bigen Africa, where she gained multidisciplinary exposure across the Water, Transport, Infrastructure Management Services, Contracts, Real Estate, and Regional Operations directorates. During her time at the company, she was exposed to weir design, geospatial water research, water tank design calculations, piping systems, infrastructure coordination, technical reporting, and project support functions. This experience strengthened her passion for engineering, infrastructure development, and problem-solving within the built environment.
With experience working across various technical and operational environments, Nkateko continues to grow as a young professional committed to innovation, collaboration, and creating impactful solutions that contribute to sustainable development and community advancement.
