Celebrating success and Philanthropy

On 21 October 2017 Nyukani Education Centre was a hive of activity. Early in the morning there was a cool breeze across Giyani as motorcades drove towards Makhasa Primary school in Malamulele. It was a day of jubilation and excitement as hundreds of children were patiently waiting for the motorcade to arrive. Nothing could stop the children from smiling all this time. Yes they had every reason to. The day was a big day – it was the official hand over of the classroom block which was recently refurbished by our Chairperson Dr Tirhani Mabunda. It is this act of philanthropy that had generated all the excitement.

The event was graced by various dignitaries from the office of the MEC for Education. As the delegation left the school the learners had a lot to remember. For the learners it was not about the event but the change that had happened to them which will last for decades to come. Their appreciation to the improved learning environment made even the Dr sob. It is these acts of kindness and giving back to the community that change the world and it humbles us at the same time as we realise our dream of making the world a better place to live.

In true Dr style, the event at Nyukani started off with a buffet lunch. Then the Chairperson was escorted to the venue by academics in full academic regalia, from bachelor’s degrees to PHD. It was an escort befitting the Doctor. The graduates were introduced and we then had entertainment from the famous Xigubu Xachajara. We were graced with inspiring speeches from the our dignitaries which culminated in the final speech by the Chairperson Dr T.E Mabunda. This was a memorable day and meant to also inspire the young generation to achieve even greater heights.

To the Dr We say congratulations for obtaining a PHD. We appreciate what he is doing for our institution and the community at large.
